Midwest based Art educator, Innovator & Visual Storyteller leading creative & sustainable workshops for well-being.

Respecting the human and environmental resources that go into textile production, is my focus. Consciousness about resource wastage, is at the heart of the work I create.

My goal is to encourage new skills, repair, support non-profits and be part of a greater dialogue in the textile industry and within my community, that offers inclusive solutions to create every day, functional Art, by upcycling & re-using resources, preserving & mending.

The workshops I lead, in a variety of subjects, present sustainable approaches to build confidence and community, with a back to basics approach.

I believe that drawing from traditions across cultures and generations can lead us to Collaboration, enduring Connections and boundless Creativity.

I’m honored to have a sampling of my work as a special exhibit at the Great WI Quilt Show 2025 Event, from Sept 4 - 6th at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI. The focus of my work will always be using what others may consider unusable or discardable. If we all make one or two small changes to conserve resources, we all make a difference towards a more equitable and sustainable textile future.

While all pieces shown here may not appear in the exhibit, I wanted to create a space where viewers can see my work anywhere they are. I hope you are inspired. Please stay in touch https://www.instagram.com/sustainabletextiledesign/
