  • Ardyth's sew n vac shoppe 116 West 4th Street Baraboo, wi 53913 United States (map)

Hexagons can be found all around us!

Honeycombs, snowflakes…and certain types of minerals are among the most well-known examples of hexagonal structures in nature. https://www.britannica.com/science/hexagon. They are also a beautiful element in sewing.

In this workshop we will be working with pre-fused, pre-cut 2” hexie interfacing that will be ironed to the wrong side of fabrics, cut with scissors and Applique by machine to a background fabric, to create a panel you can incorporate into other projects, or perhaps frame. It is an amazing technique to learn that may replace needle turn applique or English paper piecing in some instances.

The hexagons are pre-packaged for each participant and are required for this class.

Please call 608-356-4461 to Register. Machines available upon request.

workshop is $65 + hexagons’ pattern $20

All experience levels are welcome. A great intro to applique and/or great refresher.
