Hope this day finds you doing well.

In 2017 I came up with an idea for a Sew-Along consisting of pre-cut quilt blocks that participants took home to complete and assemble, of traditional quilt blocks. It does not seem that out of the ordinary except, and there is always a catch, participants did not know the blocks or the colors of the fabrics used, they were getting. It was a complete mystery. The Blocks are 12” finished.

The idea is to invite Improvisation, Whimsy & a Make-Do attitude into our creativity! WHY?

Well here are a few ideas:

Get outside of our comfort zone (try different designs and textiles)
Sew comfortably at home/even on snow days
Have something creative to do during winter
Practice our piecing techniques
LOL - Laught out loud at the fabric design and colors you receive
Take a Chance…this will never get old
Meet like-minded people
Celebrate at the end at the shop if you can make it or share your progress
and the list goes on.

I’m bringing this back in 2024. I can Ship your block anywhere in the contiguous US. EVERYONE can participate. I also send a photo of the block it is supposed to be but you can make up your own configuration and piece it any way you choose. Please note: previous sewing experience is recommended for success.

This is a self led project with whole payment due in advance. Refunds not available.

First Block ready Mid January 2024 and continues for 10 months. All blocks come pre-cut and ready to SEW. Only 1 block per month.
